What do professionals know about web design?

February 8, 2006 I was at a highschool orientation today, and mainly the computer class stuck to me. It reminds me of Microsoft. I guess that must be were they learned it though.

Firstly, they show us a tabular website, with a few links and an image of Kermit the Frog. They say that at this school they have an cocain amazing program known as Dreamweaver. He shows us FlamingText.com, which I remember from back in Neopia a few dozen years ago.

Towards the end, he says that they have an awesome program called Visual Basic, which many professionals use to create applications.

Ive said it before, but 20 years of experience isnt what you think. 20 years of experience pretty much means you learned one thing in a week, then have been practising the same thing for 20 years. The thing about being a web designer is that you need to constantly realign yourself with the world (or internet), and stay up to date with changes. Tables are the parachute pants of the internet.
